Introduction

The Government of India, in collaboration with MNRE (Ministry of Renewable Energy), hosted a 3-day mega event, the International Conference on Green Hydrogen, from 5th to 7th July 2023, at New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan. The primary objective of this conference was to coincide with the launch of India's Green Hydrogen Mission on 4th January 2023. The mission aimed to establish a comprehensive Green Hydrogen Eco-system in India.

The conference itself was designed to delve into recent advances and the latest technologies across the entire Green Hydrogen value chain. It provided a valuable opportunity for participants to explore the evolving green hydrogen landscape and engage with the global scientific community and industry.

The 3-day event featured plenary talks and panel discussions with industry experts and professionals. The conference also focused on green financing, human resource upskilling, and startup initiatives in this area. This event was attended by notable personalities such as Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Minister of Power & New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.

Problem

The first edition of the International Conference on Green Hydrogen presented several challenges, notably in the domain of website development. The contracted agency, responsible for creating the event's website, regrettably terminated their services merely two days before the scheduled commencement of the conference.

We accomplished a significant milestone while working on this event. Within a span of 47 hours, we created an entirely new website for ICGH 2023, starting from the conceptualization phase to its full-fledged implementation. On day 1, we completed the back-end process to develop an app. Then, on the second day, following the integration of a secure payment portal for the registration process, facilitated by the acquisition of the required API, the website seamlessly went live.

Solution

We accomplished a significant milestone while working on this event. The website we created was user-friendly, encompassing all necessary information related to the conference. It featured real-time agendas for all three days, facilitating efficient registration through E-ticketing with a QR scanner. The entire registration process was accessible on the website.

In addition to the website development, we actively engaged in live tweeting throughout the conference. This involved providing real-time updates, highlights, and key insights from various sessions and discussions. Our goal was to enhance the virtual presence of the event, creating a dynamic and interactive online experience for participants and those following the conference remotely.

Conclusion

In summary, the International Conference on Green Hydrogen, organized by the Government of India in collaboration with MNRE, triumphed over initial challenges to emerge as a milestone event. Despite setbacks in website development, our team's swift response resulted in the creation of a user-friendly platform within 47 hours, ensuring seamless communication for 1500+ delegates. The conference, aligned with India's Green Hydrogen Mission, not only fostered global engagement but also showcased our commitment to innovation and resilience.
