Innovative branding for Cinépolis India’s grand opening at Secura Centre, Kannur

Cinépolis India, a subsidiary of the renowned Mexican cinema chain Cinépolis, has emerged as a leading player in India’s entertainment sector. With a presence across the country, Cinépolis operates 422 screens, encompassing various segments such as Cinépolis, Cinépolis VIP, Cinépolis Junior, Cinépolis MacroXE, and Fun Cinemas.

Cinépolis India has redefined the cinematic experience in India by introducing several innovative concepts. The company is also home to India’s largest Megaplex, a 15-screen multiplex located in Pune, setting new benchmarks in cinema exhibition. To mark the opening of their new location at Secura Centre in Kannur, Kerala, Cinépolis sought to create an impactful and visually striking branding presence. The goal was to draw attention and generate excitement about the launch while positioning the brand as a leader in cinema innovation. Cinépolis wanted to ensure that the branding elements were both eye-catching and aligned with their brand identity while highlighting the cinema's premium experience.

We were entrusted with the task of designing and executing the branding for Cinépolis at Secura Centre. We strategically designed multiple creative elements throughout the mall to ensure maximum visibility and engagement with potential customers. The lift branding was one of the standout features, highlighting the new cinema location in an innovative way. We also designed parking lot creatives featuring large signage that clearly directed visitors to the third floor, where Cinépolis was located.

The central attraction of the branding was a large backlit giant popcorn tub filled with balloons, placed at the main center of the mall. This eye-catching display became a focal point, drawing attention from visitors across the mall. Additionally, we placed another backlit "C-shaped" display at the mall entrance gates. These glowing displays helped guide and welcome visitors to the newly opened cinema, creating a memorable first impression of the brand and the experience Cinépolis offers.

The creative elements not only ensured the new cinema location was highly visible but also embodied the fun and excitement that Cinépolis brings to the Indian entertainment market.
